First prawning

My colleague Larry organised a prawning activity, last Saturday, for some of us - me and a few colleagues. That would be our first time prawn fishing. It was super cooool!!! Amidst the heat that eventually took a drastic weather change.

Went to the one in Bishan, opposite the Toyota Service Centre. Ok, i was late cos we got lost. Couldn't find it cos larry gave us wrong directions. It was a beer garden with a place for BBQ-ing the prawns if customers wanted to. We paid $25 for 2 hours, bait and rod provided. I admit that without Larry coaching us, we would not be able to get any prawns at all. This activity needs the correct technique to get the prawn up after it bit the bait.

My super-power skills brought us 7 prawns home. Nurul caught 2 but i helped her fished them out. The prawns we caught were small compared to the ones the experts caught. But it was a good experience!

Steamed the prawns with garlic and sauce. The flesh was good. It was firm and compact!

Sunday mornings with A-yan

Spent time with Riyan while Nurul went for her I Can Read class. Every Sunday morning, he'll religiously tag along to send Nurul off for class at Rivervale Mall. We'll then do our Sunday routine at NTUC and then off to home for a good cartoon or game. Seldom study on Sunday morning. I'll be lucky if his mood for study is there sometimes.

My busuk speaks with thought

We were watching one of Suria's programme - Sooo Lazat. It had this beautiful house with a fish pond outside a french window. Riyan looked at me and said, "Ma, when i'm big i'll live in that house. And you can stay with me."

Awww.... my busuk is so sweet... i told him he must study hard to earn that kind of money for the house. And he nodded that he would study hard. At 31/2 yrs, my busuk has such thoughts.... such a sweet boy.

The sentences that come out form his mouth is always very considerate and he spekas like a grown up at this age. Insya-Allah, he'd grow up to be a fine, young man.

Lil Zayne's first birthday

Zayne celebrated his first birthday in May. A simple and fuss free celebration with his cousins - Nurul and Riyan. This was after we came back from cousin Hafizah's wedding. Snapped these with my camera phone.

Zayne is such a cute chubby boy who always looks so glum. So his smile moments and photos are priceless.
