Suddenly, Japan came to my mind a few minutes ago. The strange feeling of greatly missing Japan enveloped me. I long to be there again. I want to see it in autumn when the trees would be crowned in yellow-red leaves. I want to experience it in winter, where the country side would be covered with a blanket of snow. And I wish to be there in spring when cherry blossoms would rain down on us...

The right kind of Superstar
We always inculcate the good family values, relationship and friendship in school, regardless of who(friends) they are; in both my kids. Nurul especially, since she is in P1 and will be making lots of friends of different races, religions and backgrounds.
Nurul always comes back home sharing with us good stories about her new found friends. We now know the names of half her class and whom she hangs out with during recess. She came back one day and told us that Mrs Chow, her teacher, told everyone to stand in line and find a partner. And all her girl friends ran to her wanting to be her partner.
She commented:
" I'm a good friend and everyone likes me. They all want to be my partner in line. But I told them I'm not a superstar... "

Sonare violin class
Nurul's been doing great in violin. Her pace is two times faster than a newbie. She managed to accomplish all in just one and a half months compared to the normal three months for a newbie. Teacher Joanne wants to let her try new things since Nurul is a fast learner. Alhamdulillah, she'll be preparing for her first theory exam anytime soon. :)
She played us Twinkle, Twinkle Little Stars the other night. It was not perfect but it sounded like the rhyme. She could read the notes. I was and still am impressed. I'm not musically inclined.
