Children's museum

It's been a month since i last updated. went to a fair number of places with the kids but i was too tired to upload the pics. Plus the laptop hadn't been very cooperative too recently. S-L-O-W.....

One of the 'educational' tours (hahahah!) we had planned was to the Children's Museum as mentioned in my Arab Street blog. Promised Nurul that i'd take her here. So here we were bringing our kids to show them what we used to play and how things have evolved. I couldn't remember some of the stuff they have it there. This shows that i'm not thaaaaat old. hehehe either that or i'm too old that i can't remember much. ;p

The entrance fee was only $2 per person, regardless of age. It's cheap considering that the place needs to be maintained well.

The trip really brought back many old fond memories of my kampung, my nyai and my aunts who brought me up there. Feeling so emotional thinking of how close we were and especially durin fasting month when we all used to sit on the 'ambin' (Malay for platform) and had our dinner. My uncle Salleh would make little timber chairs for the kids corner. Nostalgic!

Entrance fee : S$2

Kampong Glam

Used to have some of these.
Couldn't recall these. Not during my time! ;p

Definitely remember these! I can vividly remember my aunt whipping out kaya from similar tins. And stuffing me with the cream crackers with tea!

Minah A-go-go!
Thought we could distract Riyan with this styrafoam airplanes away from his whinning for a new toy car. But...
... he didn't like it. he said it was not a real toy!
