Breakfast was back in the hotel. Didn't learn my lesson on GM's breakfast spread. It was only so-so and not very filling for me. I only know that i would always go for the congee. Next time can have breakfast at The Loaf or some other shops that serve breakfast much cheaper.
Went swimming for about an hour. The pool was cold! it took me a long while before i fully dipped my whole body into the water.
Came noon, we wanted to be part of the locals. We went on public transport spree! It was a little exhilarating. I was actually apprehensive about their transport system but noting that M'sia recently had an impressive development of public transport, we decided to give it a go. Hopped onto the KL monorail to get to Sentral. It was not a short walk to Sooka Sentral from the monorail station. We walked under the hot sun. We both carried our 'live' baggages. Although I went for miles in our Japan trip, nothing beat this. It was super exhausting and imagine the potholes and gaps in the pavement! were they trying to kill me? Or rather, what was i thinking 'strolling' along a busy street?? I'd be cussing non stop if my foot were to get caught in one of those.
I thought Sentral Sooka was huge but it was just the size of a heartland mall. Even smaller then my neighbourhood Rivervale Mall. But there were loads of restaurants and eating places. On every floor! Well, the main target was to locate the Oriental Spoon but it simply didn't appear before our eyes despite many, many false turns. The website mentioned: Sooka Sentral. We WERE at Sooka Sentral. But NO sign of Oriental Spoon. And the best part was... the building does not have a directory!!!!! And the information counter was actually a management office. What the hell??!!!? Before the heat and frustration got into the both of us, we quickly settled for the foodcourt at fourth floor. But bad choice of food i made. I ordered Hokien mee... and it was nothing more than just thick floor noodles in soy sauce. *boooo-hoooooooo* And by this time, Riyan started to run a fever again.

I suggested to take the LRT (like our MRT) also known as Rapid KL to KLCC and see what we could shop for there. Maybe a quick one since Riyan was feeling limp due to the heat plus his fever. Their route was a little more complicated than SG's (but nothing beats Japan's rail system) with more than one train operator. And to hop onto the nearest monorail is definitely NOT near at all!! But it was a good experience. KLCC. ahhh... I like.... So we ate. Shopped. Shopped for medicine. And watched a movie at Golden Village. Shrek, for the second time. Cos didn't want to walk too much. Riyan wanted to rest after his medication. Plus Pa had not watched Shrek before. The ticket was dirt cheap, man!!!!! MR3.50 for a child. MR11.50 for an adult.
Our return trip to the hotel was not a good travelling experience. We coincided with the office crowd returning home. Shucks!!! Packed like sardines! But, the good thing is... SG people, hear this out... they queued. Yeeeeesssss, they queued. No yellow arrows, nothing. They simply queued.

Then it was just hotel --> Pavillion --> dinner--> shopping.
Pa and Riyan retreated earlier since Riyan needed the rest. I dragged Nurul shopping for our stuff. I needed her opinion on some 'C' bags that I wanted to get. Told her the price of the bag, she thought it was too expensive. Coming from a 6 year-old. Sometimes, i think she is getting too smart for me... i need to catch up:
"Kak, is this nice? What do you think?".
"Nice, ma. Do you like it?"
Yaa.."
"Good. Cos if you think it's nice and you like it, then it's nice. I said it's nice cos I only want you to be happy."...
I suddenly felt weak...
Onward to Day 3!!!
