Bintan, Nirwana Gardens

I was repositioning my dry box and found these CDs... compilation of old digital photos.

This photo video below is one of the best holiday photos i put together.... i think it was for Faris' school work or something.... *dang!* can't upload it cos it's tooooo long and huge a file.  :(

so you've got to settle with some of the photos taken...

Welcome to Bintan 2007!

That time, we went to Bintan, Nirwana Gardens with Cik Latif, Cik Yon and the 2 boys. Our first time in Bintan. Didn't know what to expect. Then, the idea of a resort was, to be frank, rather cloudy... based on our first resort experience in  Tioman. That one in Tioman was both scary yet fun. Scary cos of the boat rides and the water snake spotted. Fun cos almost 20 of my family members went.

We took Bintan Ferries from Tanah Merah terminal. There was a huge parking so it was very convenient and safe for our 2 nights parking. Ferry was about an hour ride if i'm not mistaken....

They were so cute!
My smelly boi!

I love Nirwana Gardens. I love the food there but the downside is that Bintan uses SG currency. There is literally nothing to do in Bintan except to laze around and if the money permits, to go for ATV, elephant rides, banana boat rides. We rented a 'limo' to take us to Tanjong Pinang. Tanjong Pinang was super duper hot! And dusty.  It's a keropok (crackers in English) haven. ehhehehehehhe...! Things were cheap there. Somewhat like Batam but an older and more nostalgic version.

The view that greeted us at Nirwana Gardens.

The troupe that greeted us.

Booked 2 deluxe rooms but one of the rooms was upgraded to a suite when we were there. Free! Shiok!!!!!

Our very own four-post bed...  :)

This is still my fav toilet of all the places i had been to.

We got the suite at Level 2.

Very simple toiletries. I brought home a set  ;p

Our holiday partners....  :)

To Tanjong Pinang...

Fresh seafood lunch at Tanjong Pinang.
I'm salivating!
Lunch overlooking the river and sea.

Tanjong Pinang keropoks.
Go- Kart!

My lovely...
My sweetheart...

The second and third time we went to Bintan, we were smarter, eh? We went ot Pasar Oleh-Oleh and had our mini adventures riding the golf-cart thing around Nirwana Resort premises. Of course, I drove my aunts and mom around. Think they were scared to the max!
