KL adventure

Loving Bukit Bintang and every minute of it! #1 fan of Pavillion!

We decided on a last minute short trip before i start my new job next Mon. Battled between KL, Penang and Bintan. All 3 places with different mode of transportation. But KL won hands down. Heading to KL would be blissful for my kids, especially Riyan. He wanted to take the Transtar coach again so he could play his favourite in-coach game. So we took 3 days and 2 nights holiday to KL. This time it was just the four of us. We visited KL last Dec but i didn't enjoy it. For reasons that i should not air it online... ehehheheheh

Anyway, KL was HOT. The weather, i meant. But towards the end of our trip, the weather was on our side. Overcast and started to rain a little here and there. It was mad house shopping especially on the last day. I realise that 3 days 2 nights was not sufficient. Above all, i enjoyed my food hunting tremendously!!! Finally sunk our teeth into the tenderlicious ribs at Tony Romas. Only regret - couldn't locate Oriental Spoon!!! WHERE WERE YOU???! Any-hoo, read on for our KL mini adventure...

Day 1: Coach took us to KL in only 4 1/2 hours with a 10 min toilet break halfway through our journey. With good entertainment, food and polite coach stewardess, the journey was not as torturous as the ones i took in the old days. Although Pasar Rakyat Terminal was very close to Grand Millennium, we took a cab and it cost us MR15.
Riyan welcoming the thought of visiting KL (again)!!

Nurul all geared up for Transtar's in-coach entertainment. Her tagline for the hour: "Are we in Malaysia yet?" The entertainment could only be switched on after crossing the 2nd link due to copyright issues.

Stopping for a toilet / snack break at i-dunno-where.

Her favourite coach.

Our served lunch - Steamed chicken rice. Pa thought it was nice. I thought that the chicken was a little undercooked for me although i did finish my share. Hungry lerr...

We requested for the corner units but they were all taken up. We got the same floor as we did previously.
Having a less than very satisfying meal in the coach, we zoomed to Pavillion to start off with the first on the food list. I couldn't resist The Loaf. Highly recommended by Safiah... and I LOVE IT!!!!!!! I love everything about it!!!! To begin with, it has an outlook of cafe in Australia. Next it has beautiful, Japanese style packaging (of course, since it's a Japanese style bakery/bistro) - I'm a sucker for nice packages! hurhurhurhurhur Good thing nurul loves cheese cakes. Think she had an overdose of cheesecakes after having 3 cups of 'em.

Can see the entrance from our room! :) aahhhhh...

Our first 6 cups.

My favourite - orange tangy!
So, we had dessert before our main course. Not sure where to go for our big bang of main course. Almost all over, kids eat for free, with every adult main course. Gooooooodd..... saving a lil bit of money here... Yo Sushi was not Halal... didn't want to go for fast food Carl's Jr... so... Tony Roma it was. After a miss at the ribs during the last visit. And ribs we had.
At MR49.90, the dish came with 2 sides. We chose grilled prawns and rice.
Riyan's all time favourite kid's Fish and chips FREE! Usual MR16.90.

By then, it was already close to eight pm. Bought some buns and my favourite floss bun from BreadTalk. Then retired. Tired... it had been a long journey.

Stay tune for Day 2... will blog more...
:)
